Welcome Back 2012!

Ok, so we’ve been away for a while…

Just in case you thought we had forgotten to update anything recently, we are still here, and setting up a range of courses for 2012 at locations old and new.  Ok – it HAS taken longer to do this year…

We are delighted to be working with Colmers View in Bridport to offer our first weekend residential courses, and Richard is leading two walking and photography sessions for the Swanage and Purbeck Walking Festival.

We are running our succesful Introduction to Digital SLR workshops at Kimmeridge again, and this time we have recognised the need to make it a two day course: basic skills and aperture/depth of field in day one, shutter speed/movement, other gear (we know we all carry secret shopping lists…) and a brief introduction to workflow in day two.  Both days would be a great, solid grounding in camera skills, but either alone would make you a more confident user of your camera.  If all that sounds a bit dry and technical, the workshops are run at one of the best locations along the Jurassic Coast, with the potential for great sunset shots for those who wish to stay.

We have introduced a new Compact Camera course for those who prefer something lighter to carry but still want to produce controlled, deliberate images, and we are keen to run again our Introduction to Photojournalism weekend based loosely around the Swanage Folk Festival, control of off-camera flash, and a certain degreee of bravura…….

The online payment system should simplify things for you (it hasn’t for us so far, but it’s almost tweaked and ready), so dates for Kimmeridge should be up by the end of the Easter break.  We are still waiting to hear back from other venues.  If you don’t want to miss out – subscribe to our email newsletter!
