We have decided to postpone our day long dawn to dusk shoot from 16th October to Saturday 30th October - weather threatens to be dull and overcast, and that's a long time to be shivering waiting for the light! We had a great day last year - meeting at Corfe just before sunrise, then shooting (and stopping for a substantial breakfast and then lunch I seem to remember) through the day in a number of locations as the light changed. We ended up shooting at sunset from Swyre Head - majestic views west over Kimmeridge and across the bay to Portland if you don't know it. This year i'm keen to find some woodland autumn colour to fit in - and maybe even some mushrooms.... As usual, email if interested - price is £95 per person (afraid that doesn't include breakfast...), and the style is a mix of exploring locations, looking for compelling viewpoints and compositions, and technical input as we walk. You know what the weather can be like at this time of year, so suitable clothing and foot ware a must, although we never stray more than 30 minutes or so from the cars. We start just before 7, to give us time to make the short climb up onto the ridge above the castle, and finish about 6pm - some of the best light is after the sun has left the sky. A torch might be useful. This is coming to the end of the 2010 outdoor shoots - but keep an eye on the site for more Photoshop and studio lighting workshops until the spring. |
