27th March 2010 Introduction to DSLR I - Holton Lee PDF Print E-mail
Another of our popular Introduction to the DSLR courses on 27th March 2010 at Holton Lee.  Part class room exploration of your camera's controls, part photographic tour of this still largely unknown estate of mixed woodland and heath that stretches down to the back of Poole Harbour, this workshop is intended for new owners of Digital SLR cameras - or if you have had your DSLR for a while and are still using it on auto-everything!  This might also be a good choice if you are making the move from film to digital, or have had a film SLR in the past.
For 2010 we have decided to split this important first step in managing your camera into two parts - there is simply too much to cover, and too much to take in, in one day.  Part 1covers an overview of the core camera controls of aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings, and more importantly how to use these controls not just to manage exposure but also for creative effect.
We are based in one of the artist studios at Holton Lee, which is a few miles out of Poole on the Wareham road - ample parking.

Course times from 9 through to about 5.30pm, and cost is £95 per person.  Facilities are fairly limited, so you will need to bring a packed lunch - we will have tea and coffee available.

You can book by email - we look forward to hearing from you!
(15% reduction if you book this and the 'Introduction to Landscape Photography' on the following day - 28th March 2010)
